तरणउ बूढउ बालु हउं सूरउ पंडिउ दिव्वु । खवणउ वंदउ सेवडउ एहउ चिंति म सव्वु ॥ ३२ ॥
I am youthful, old, young, brave, learned, brilliant, kshapanaka ( Digambara), Bandaka ( Buddhist) or a Swetambara: do not think all this.
अप्पा मिल्लिवि णाणमउ अवरु परायउ भाउ ।
सो छंडेविणु जीव तुडं झावहि सुद्ध-सहाउ ॥ ३५ ॥ Excepting the self full of knowledge all other ideas are foreign; leaving them aside, oh soul ! meditate upon the pure nature of the self. 4 Transitory nature of the worldly relations, sensual pleasures es and religious forms and ceremonies.
घरवासउ मा जाणि जिय दुक्किय-वासउ एहु ।
पासु कयंते मंडियउ अविचलु ण वि संदेहु ॥ १२ ॥ Do not regard this to be life in a home, oh soul I it is residence in sin: it is, no doubt, a trap firmly laid out by Death.
विसय-सुहा दुइ दिवहडा पुणु दुक्खहं परिवाडि ।
मुल्लउ जीव म वाहि तुहुं अप्पाखंधि कुहाडि ॥ १७॥ The pleasures of the senses last only for two days aud a series of woes succeeds. Do never, in delusion, put the axe to your own neck, oh soul !
मूढा देह म रज्जियइ देह ण अप्पा होइ । देहहं भिण्णउ णाणमउ सो तुहुं अप्पा जोइ ॥ १०९॥
