Jain Mysticism पंच बलद्दण रक्खियई गंदणवणु ण गओ सि । अप्पु ण जाणिउ ण वि परु वि एमइ पव्वइओ सि ॥ ४४ ॥
You have not restrained the five bulls and have not entered the pleasure garden; you did neither know thyself nor the nonself: yrı have becone an ascetic in vain.
भिण्णउ जेहिं ण जाणियउ णियदेहहं परमत्थु ।
___ सो अंधउ अवरहं अंधयह किम दरिसावइ पंथु ॥ १२८ ॥ Who has not known the supreme being to be different from hi body how can that blind man show the path to the other blind. [Compare this with the following verse ef कवीर
जा का गुरु है आँधरा चेला निपट निरंध । अंधे अंधा ठेलिया दोऊ कूप परंत ॥] अक्खरचडिया मसिमिलिया पाढंता गय खीण । एक ण जाणी परम कला कहिं उग्गउ कहिं लीण ॥ १७३ ॥
Reading the words written in ink they became old but could not know the great art ( truth ), viz. whence it arose and where it set.
3 Vanity of all distinctions of the body, caste and creed.
हउं गोरउ हउं सामलउ हउं मि विभिण्णउ वण्णि ।
हउं तणु-अंगउ थूलु हउं एहउ जीव म मण्णि ॥२६॥ I am fair, I am dark or I am of a different colour; I am slender I am fat; on soul I do not think like this.
ण वितुहुं कारणु कज्जु ण वि ण वि सामिउ ण वि भिच्चु । सूरउ कायरु जीव ण वि ण वि उत्तमु ण वि णिच्चु ॥२८॥
You are neither the cause nor the effect: peither the master por the servant; neither brave nor timid; oh soul! You are neither high nor low.
