Prakrit Verses in Sanskrit Works on Poetics प्रकाशानुराग: कनिष्ठाविषय: (p. 812), मिमीति (? ते) परिच्छिन्नत्ति प्रेम्ण : प्रमाणमसाविति मान : (D. 860), अनुभयापेक्षो मन्युर्मन्त्रयुतम् (p.991) and तत् (नायिका-) प्रतियोगिनी प्रतिनायिका (p. 1172). SK (p. 647, v. 263) also cites this skandhaka with the introductory words : "प्रेम मिमीते यथा-", and in the course of its comments it says : (मानेन हि जन: प्रेमास्ति वेति बुध्यते । तस्य च करणभूतस्यापि प्राधान्यादत्र कर्तृत्वोपचार :|---)--- तेन च यद्यपि करणभूतेनैवात्मनि रुक्मिण्यां च प्रियप्रेम्ण : परिमाणं सत्यभामा प्रत्याययति तथापि पूर्ववदिहाप्ययं पूर्ववत् कर्तृत्वेनोपचर्यते ।

introductory words : "(प्रतिनायिकासु) शान्ता यथा-". मं वाहरउ - let him call me; तिस्सा गोत्तेण by her (i.e., his sweetheart's) name; किं त्थ भणिएण - what is the use of scolding him ? थिरपेम्मा होऊ --- let his love become fixed; जहिं जहिं पि.- lit. somewhere, on some woman or another (if not on me); मा कि पि णं भणह ---- Don't say anything (by way of scolding) to him;167311 - friends!
545. Bhoja cites this gatha as an example of सौभाग्यम् - married love, happiness and
good fortune. SK (p. 627, v. 188) too cites it : ( स संभोगशृङ्गारः चतुर्धा - प्रथमानुरागानन्तर:, मानानन्तर :, प्रवासानन्तर:, करुणानन्तर इति।) तेषु प्रथमानुरागानन्तरो यथा-; पसुवइणा ---- THIS is a loc. abs. constr. ---- When Siva threw away the bracelet made of the coils of the serpent Väsuki.

of the figure fait : All the causes of seus are present, but in the face of all these causes her virtue has remained inviolate, unbroken-she has maintained her moral character.
