Prakrit Verses in Sanskrit Works on Poetics
3 Tua Paz TETT Paferillo Adetsto a que estig. 496. This comment
is reproduced from Bhoja's ŚP (Vol. I. p. 248). 46. This gātha is already dealt with; vide DHV S.No. (4.7); ŚP S.No. (54.53) supra.
Like Anandavardhana and Bhoja Narendraprabha cites this gātha as an example of 'nişedhe anubhayarūpam'. His gloss on the găthă is reproduced from Bhoja's ŚP (Vol. I. p. 248) : अत्र निवर्तस्वेति निषेधाभिधाने न निषेधो नापि विधिरपि तु मुखेन्दुकान्तिवर्णनामात्रं प्रतीयते । - पृ. ११८.
47. This gātha is already dealt with; vide DHV S.No. (5.7), and ŚP S.No. (8.36)
supra. Like Anandavardhana, Bhoja (Hemacandra), etc., Narendraprabha cites this gatha as an example of 'alau Parafuicda Rifua:'. His gloss on the gatha strongly reminds us of Locana's comments on it (pp. 76-78) and to a certain extent Mammața's comments on it (KP p. 244).
48. This gātha is already dealt with; vide KP S.No.(37.427) supra. Narendraprabha,
following Mammața, cites this gāthā to show that the suggested meaning may be, as against the indicated meaning, only indirectly connected (being connected with something else which is connected with the expressed meaning) i.e., pratyasanna-pratyasanna (= sambaddha-sambandha of Mammata) and thus force the opponent to accept vyañjana-vyāpāra and vyangyártha. His comments on the găthă agree almost word for word with Mammata's Vrtti.
49. This gātha is already dealt with; vide Hemacandra's KAS S.No. (42.486) supra.
Like Hemacandra Narendraprabha cites this gāthā, in the course of his treatment of madhyama-kavya, with the introductory remark cafe) 37cat pe He adopts verbatim Hemacandra's Vrtti (gloss) on this gathā : 3FT HAT B arried, निषेद्धं चाहमशक्ता । तत्सख्य: प्रात: पादमुद्रया तर्कयित्वा मा मां हसिषुरिति व्यङ्ग्यमस्फुटम् । पृ. १२४.
50. This gathā is already dealt with; vide KP S.No. (19.422) and Hemacandra's
KĀS S.No. (43.487) supra. Narendraprabha follows Hemacandra and cites this gäthä as an example of ' GTETSTERAUT' (u m ). His Vrtti (gloss) on the gāthā is adopted, almost word for word, from Hemacandra's KĀŚ (p. 156): 3715 galo aachetaita arazi Papa at TEHTY SUPERISUT यावदत्याहितं नाप्नोति तावदुज्झित्वा दौर्जन्यं साऽनुनीयतामिति व्यङ्गय प्रधानमिति सन्दिग्धम्। -पृ. १२५.
