is अज्झा (प्रौढ-युवति:) or अज्जा (Sk. आर्या). कहिज्जत pres. pass. part. from कह (Sk. कथय to tell) (कथ्यमान); We have alternative reading पुणरुत्तसयं for पुणरुत्तसुयं. भुवनपाल observes हत्थसंदिट्ठ इति लोकोक्ति :।
17 and 18 illustrate the figure Pratipa which Sobhakara defines as: अधिकगुणस्यानादर:
प्रतीपम्.
19. वंदिज्जउ = वन्द्यताम् (and not वन्द्यते as found in the printed text.); कीरइ : क्रियते (the
printed text wrongly equates कीरउ with क्रियते (we expect क्रियताम्). GRK No. 493 reads: निद्द चिय वंदिज्जइ, किं कीरइ देवयाहिं अन्नाहिं । जीए पसाएण पिओ दीसइ दूरे वि निवसन्तो || (निद्रव वन्द्यते किं क्रियते देवताभिरन्याभिः । यस्याः प्रसादेन प्रियो लभ्यते दूरेऽपि निवसन् ।)
20. The printed text in Devadhar's edn. reads मुसलम्मि धावताइ (? ) which makes no
sense. The text is emended as "मुसलम्मि वावडाए' (पिआए) (मुसले व्यापृतायाः) (प्रियायाः).
21. णिओल (निचोल, cover, veil, wrapper); चाओ (= चाप:) which usually means 'a bow'.
Here it stands for arrow ? and (णिओल for quiver ?); ओसरिओ = अपसृत: : Sobhakara cites this gathā to illustrate his statement that his newly discovered figure Vaidharmya attains unique beauty when associated with another figure.
22. This gatha is already dealt with; vide KP S. No. (63.435) supra. 23. This skandhakafrom Setu is already dealt with; vide SP S. No. (25.47) supra.
Sobhakara's printed text reads: - पओसु and . बंधु for - पओसो and रोसगइंद-दिढ-सिंखला-पडिबंधो respectively in the first half; anu कहमवि दासरहीहं for कह कह वि दासरहिणो in the second half. Vide Setu I. 14. In this skandhaka we have the figure Paramparita Rūpaka.
24. This gātha is already dealt with vide SK S. No. (232.387) supra.
It is cited here as an example of the figure Săvayava. Rūpaka.
