Viśveśvara cites this gātha as an example of the figure Samādhi (which occurs when a certain work becomes easy of accomplishment owing to the association of another cause), and remakrs : अत्र मानापनोदार्थं प्रणते पत्यौ तदभावेऽपि तत्पृष्ठे पुत्रसमारोहणरूपविलक्षणचेष्टाहासगम्यो मानत्याग : । 9. 300. 87.599. This gātha is already dealt with; vide ŚP S.No. (145.71); SK S.No. (91.358) supra. Visveśvara cites it here as an example of Visama (Kevalanistaprāptau) and remarks: अत्र नायकविषयकानुरागव्यञ्जकाभावत्वेन इष्टानां तददर्शनादीनामन्यनिष्ठतद्विषयकज्ञानरूपानिष्टप्राप्ति : । - q. 300. 88.599. Viśveśvara cites this gāthā as an example of the figure Vişama (II), where the quality and action of a cause are mutually opposed to the quality and action respectively of the effect. This gāthā illustrates the form where the actions are mutually opposed; Viśveśvara comments: अत्र हस्तस्य राजजनकत्वम्, तस्य प्रतापजनकत्वम् । हस्तप्रतापनिष्ठ-तृष्णाहरण-दहन-क्रिययोर्विरोध इति face 1 89.599. Viśveśvara cites this skandhaka from Setu as an example of Ekāvalī (which occurs when each succeeding thing is either affirmed or denied as a qualification or attribute of each preceding thing). It may be mentioned incidentally that the commentator Rāmadāsa identifies the figure in this stanza as ' siguri' (p.250). 90.599. Visveśvara cites this skandhaka from Setu as an example of the figure Smarana (Reminiscence) (which arises when an object, which has been experienced or perceived before as possessed of a certain form is recollected exactly as it was experienced before at the sight of a similar object). He comments on this as follows: अत्र श्रीरामबाणप्रहारेण पर्वत-भूमि-समुद्राणां वज-वराहभुज-मथनाघटितानां स्मरणमुपन्यस्तम् । (पृ. 320). 91.600. Viśveśvara cites this gătha as an example of the figure Bhrantimăn (which arises when the upameya is mistaken for the upamāna); he comments on
