Dr. H.C.Bhayani thus reconstructs the gatha and gives its Sanskrit chaya : "सोवाण-कमण-समूससंत-मज्जक्क-वासमारुहइ । कामवस - (हत्थ) विहडंत-वलयओ कामिणीसत्थो । (सोपान-क्रमण-समुच्छ्वसन्-मद्यार्कवासमारोहति । कामवश-हस्त-विघटमान-वलयक: कामिनी-सार्थ: ।।"
My difficulty was that the word 'End is not recorded in the Dictionary. The emendation of afsigui to CT37311, proposed both by Prof. Patwardhan and
Dr. Bhayani is certainly welcome and readily acceptable. 1650. --- प्रकृष्टश्च मृगस्नेह इति सार्वलौकिकी गाथा ।
आमरणंताइ (आमरणान्तानि) - lasting till the end in the form of death. The young male and female deer do not depend on each other for the food and water required by them and yet they love each other till the end of their life. Their love for each other is thus disinterseted and selfless and therefore ideal.

Read in the first half of the text pieti and in the first half of the chāyā व्यलीकस्य. विलिअ : व्यलीक = अपराध (love's) offence: विरोहिअ - संहिअस्स (= विरोधित-संहितस्य) - first snapped and then patched up; PORRA Bts develops a bad taste (becomes insipid).
