Prakrit Verses in Sanskrit Works on Poetics
होसइ किल साहारो साहारे अंगणाम्मि वड्ढ़ते । पत्ते वसंतमासे वसंतमासाइ सोसेइ ।।
M. V. Patwardhan says in his Notes : साहारो = साधार: (आधारेण सह वर्तत इति साधारः, आधारदायकः, उपकारक:), useful, serviceable; or it may be regarded as a भावप्रधाननिर्देश: साधार: साधारत्वम् = आधार: or उपकार: help, service, use.cf.Hindi सहारा. साहारे - सहकारे --- Tentatively, we may give its Sanskrit chāyā as follows :
सा हारं संहारं सहकारं जानाति सज्जसाहारं (7)। संत्राणं सताम् (अथवा श्रान्तानां) सन्तानं मोहसन्तानम् ॥
12. This gāthā is already dealt with; vide DHV S.No. (14.8) supra. Ruyyaka however
cites it here as an example of लाटानुप्रास.
13. In the course of his comments on the figure Upama. Vimarsini observes : ---इयं
च सादृश्यदाढाथ कविप्रतिभाकल्पिते साधर्म्य कल्पिता भवति । तच क्वचिदुमेयगतत्वेन क्वचिदुपमानेनापि कल्पितमिति दिधात्वमस्या:| After citing this gatha as an example of कल्पितोपमा Vimarsini remarks : अत्रोपमेयस्य षट्पदाच्छादित्वं कल्पितम् । - पृ. ३७.

Vimarsinī cites this gāthā in the course of its discussion of the figure Ananvaya pointedly to bring to our notice that it is not to be regarded as an example of Ananvaya (as held by a later alaṁkārika, Sobhākara, the author of Alamkāra-ratnākara) for it is stated that her left side resembles only her right side.
* 15. This Skandhaka from Setu (IV.6) describes the Vānara, Kumuda by name.
“There is a pun on the name Kumuda meaning a night lotus which blooms in the moonlight'. This skandhaka illustrates Samasta-vastu-visaya Rūpaka.
