Stanza 2. • तन्माहात्म्यात्- महांश्चासावात्मा च महात्मा । कर्मधारयसमासः । The word महत्, when used in a कर्मधारय compound, is changed to महा under the rule आङ् महतो जातीये च ।' महात्मनो भावः माहात्म्यम् | The termination ण्य ( य ) is affixed to the word महात्मा under the rule ' पत्यन्त पुरोहितादेर्ण्यः । ' तस्य भगवतो माहात्म्यं तन्माहात्म्यं । तस्मात् । स्थितवति सति - when brought to a standstill.
