चासौ वृत्तिश्च अत्यनूचानवृत्तिः। तया ।. कनकवलयभ्रंशरिक्तप्रकोष्ठः- whose wrist was deprived or devoid of a golden bracelet owing to its being slipped off. कनकवलयस्य सुवर्णकङ्कणस्य भ्रंशेन पातेन रिक्तः शून्यः प्रकोष्ठः माणिबन्धः यस्य सः । Marubhuti, who was too much emaciated, wandered. very much for a very long time for making search for his brother. Stanzar-गिरिवननदी:- गिरयश्च वनानि च नद्यश्च गिरिवननद्यः । ताः गिरिवननदी:-acce pl. कतिपयथकैः- कतिपयानां पूरणाः कतिपयथाः। ते एक कतिपयथकाः। तैः। कियाद्भिरित्यर्थः । The termination थुक् (थ) is affixed to the word कतिपय in the sense of पूरण under the rule ' षट्कतिकतिपयस्य थुक्'। आद्रिकुले - कुञ्जः-(1) a bower, (2) a cave. अद्रिकुज means either 'a cave on a mountain' or ' a place overgrown with plants or creepers.' धूमप्रततवपुष - having his body darkened owing to its being covered over with smoke. Kamatha was practising पञ्चाग्नितप. A person, practising this kind of penance, gets fire enkindled round his body and gets the upper part of his body heated by the scorching heat of the sun. धूमेन धूम्यया प्रततं व्याप्तं वपुः शरीरं यस्य सः ।. नीललेश्यं - wearing dark complexion internally and externally both.sar means both complexion and feeling. कषायोदयरजिता योगप्रवृत्तिर्लेश्या । This लेश्या is divided into द्रव्यलेश्या and भावलेश्या. भावलेश्या implies tainted feeling and Fotzat complexion. A body may wear one complexion and feeling another. Both body and feelings may wear one complexion also.His body wore darkish complexion owing to its being covered over with clouds of smoke and feelings also wore dark complexion at the very sight of Marubhuti with whom he had come into antagonism. आषाढस्य प्रथमदिवसे- On the first day of भाषाढ. This description being of the remotest former birth, the reading Fethie aż does not contradict 'शापान्तो मे भुजगशयनादुस्थिते शाङ्गपाणौ ' ( ४।४६ ) and 'मासानन्यागमय चतुरो लोचने मीलयित्वा' (४।४७). The reading प्रथमादेवसे is attacked by some scholars on the ground that the period between the first day of 371917 and the eleventh day of tiñ exceeds by ten days the period suggested by 'अन्यान्मासान्गमय चतुरो लोचने मीलायित्वा ।'. and that the reading प्रत्यासन्ने नभास (दयिताजीवितालम्बनार्थी) becomes meaningless and another reading प्रशमदिवसे is suggested in the place of प्रथमदिवसे.
