________________ (६१२) day. अभ्रेण मेघेन सहितं साधं । तस्मिन् । 'घनाघनो घनो मेघो जीमूतोऽभ्रं बलाहकः' इति धनञ्जयः । स्थलकमलिनी इव - like a land-growing lotuscreeper. नप्रबुद्धां नसुप्ताम् - neither awake nor asleep [neither bloomed nor not bloomed ]. Both the words are cases of सुप्सुप् समास. Her eyes, being half-opened, are compared to the half-bloomed lotuses. साध्वी - a chaste woman. त्वयि सौभाग्यं व्यञ्जयद्भिः - expressing your fortunateness or revealing your sublimity. 2014: – conformable to truth. मत्सन्देशैः - by my messages. सुखयितुं - for the purpose of consoling. निशीथे- at night or at midnight. 'निशीथस्तु निशामात्रार्धरात्रयोः' इति विश्वलोचने. सद्मवातायनस्थः - standing by the window of the house. सद्मनः वातायनं सद्मवातायनम् । तत्र स्थितः सद्मवातायनस्थः । Read the following stanza - सखी धात्री च पितरौ मित्रदूतशुकादयः । सुखयन्तीष्टकथनसुखोपायैर्वियोगिनीम् ॥ Stanza 52 - वीताहारा - rejecting food [ or meal ]. विशेषण इतः नष्टः आहारः भोजनं यस्याः सा । 'आहारो भोजने पुंसि स्यादाहरणहारयोः' इति विश्वलोचने । The Kinnara girl, being distressed very much mentally owing to her separation from her lover, renounced food. Hrr2€THTOT - having all ornaments abandoned. सन्न्यस्तानि परिहृतानि आभरणानि येन तत् सन्न्यस्ताभरणम् - By the ornaments, abandoned by the Kinnara girl, only those ornaments are meant which are worn for the sake of decoration and not those like the Mangalsutra, bangles etc. which are abandoned by widows only. The girl has no desire for wearing ornaments for decoration for she is much grieved at heart owing to her separation from her lover. पेलवं - emaciated. The girl has her health deteriorated owing to the renunciation of food and mental worries caused by separation.
