प्रकृत्यादिभ्यः ' तत्र युक्तैः प्रहितवचनैः अलम् - enough of the words even, referring to those [unions ]. तत्र युक्तैः referring to those. अघवशात् - owing to the sin [ committed by me in my former births ]. मम गृध्नुतां वर्धयद्भिः • intensifying my eagerness [ for those unions ]. गृध्नुता eagerness, greediness. ' गृध्नुस्तु गर्धनः । लुब्धोऽभिलाषुकस्तृष्णक् समौ लोलुपलोलुभौ ' इत्यमरः । This word is derived from the root गृधू by affixing the termination वनु. ( नु) to it under the rule त्रस्गृध्धृक्षिपः क्नुः ' गृध्नोः भावः गृध्नुता । ताम् । साभिज्ञानम् with a means of recognition. अभिज्ञायते प्रत्यभिज्ञायतेऽनेनेति अभिज्ञानम् | Here the termination अनट् is affixed to अभिज्ञा under the rule करणाधारे चानट् to imply the sense of ‘ a means '. अभिज्ञानेन सहितं यथा स्यात्तथा । Here the word सद्द, implying simultaneity, is changed to स, under the rule 'हेडकाले ', on account of this compound being an Avyayibhava, formed under 'झि: सुब्- ' प्रहितवचनैः the words or messages sent. Many editions of Meghaduta read this line as साभिज्ञानप्रहितकुशलैस्तद्वचोभिर्ममापि । उपरिमा श्री : may be taken to mean मोक्षलक्ष्मी:. This stanza may also be construed as तत् देव ! उपरिमां श्रियं तन्वती इयं त्वदङ्घ्योः मे भक्तिः निखिलसुखदा भूयात् । इह जन्मनि अमुत्र अपि कान्तासङ्गैः तत्र युक्तैः अपि अघवशात् मम गृध्नुतां वर्धयद्भिः साभिज्ञानं प्रहितवचनैः अलम् । Dharana means to say that his devotion to or worship of the feet of Lord Jina should give him every kind of pleasure and should make him capable of renouncing sexual intercourse and conniving at the amorous words even in the present and the future births following the present one.
