घसुन्धरा had been ravished by Kamatha, the sage Parshva would be moved to strong emotion cansing him to battle with himself (i... Kamatha).
Stanza-28- भवजलनिधौ-भवः जलनिधिरिव भवजलनिधिः । This is an उपमितसमास under the rule ' व्याघ्रादिभिरुपमेयोऽतद्योगे'। This compound may be dissolved as भवः एव जलनिधिः भवजलनिधिः । कर्मधारयः । एकधा - एकेन प्रकारेण. The termination धा is affixed to the numeral एक in the sense of ' mode' (प्रकार) under the rule 'स्यर्विधार्थ धा' । दूरबन्धु :- दूरः बन्धुः यस्य सः । पौर्वदेहिको भ्राता | or दूरः बन्धुः सम्बन्धी यस्य सः । दूरबन्धुः = (1) having brotherly relation in the former birth; (2) whose relative is abroad. atiqaiqarat = for tbe sake of taking a bloody vengeance upon.
Stanza-24 - स्वकं = अनुकम्पितः त्वं त्वकम् । Hore the termination FAI is affixed to grad to imply conciliation under the rule 'अनुकम्पातन्नीत्योः ' । आप्तुकाम: desirous of obtaining. Here the of तुम् is dropped under the rule ' सम्तुमोमन कामे'। कालात् == finding an opportunity. कालं सन्धि अवकाशं वा प्राप्य | Here, कालं, the object of प्राप्य, is changed to कालात्, the word प्राप्य being dropped under the rule 'प्यखे कर्माधारे । अभियाय = having approched. The demi-god is using propitiatory words with a desire to goad the sage into becoming ready for a fight.
Stanza.25 - अभीक = (1) libidinous, (2) fearless. 'अभीको निर्भयक्रूरकविकामिषु वाच्यवत्' इतिविश्वलोचने. प्रहृत्य = having attacked.
अभयसुभग = amiable owing to fearlessness. भावुकत्वं = the state of happiness. भक्त्या = with delight. राजयुद्ध्वा - making the Yaksha fight [i. e. engaging the Yaksha in 'a contest ]. राजानं यक्ष योधितवान् इति राजयुवा। Here the termination कनिम् is affixed to the root युधू , imply ing causative sense, when it is preceded by the word 1157 under the rule ' राजसहे युधिकोः ' । रूढि--popularity. पयोदाप्रयाया:= of the beloved of me, assuming the form of a cloud. पयोद इव प्रतिकृतिः पयोदकः । The termination क is affixed to the word पयोद in the sense of प्रतिकृति,
