sympathy for or having compassion on, सञ्जाता दया अस्य दयितः| Here, the termination इत: is affixed to the word दया in the sense of सञ्जात under the rule ' तदस्य सञ्जातं तारकादिभ्य इतः ।' अजीवितं = जीविताभावः । मरणमित्यर्थः । = destruction, murder, death. आलम्बन = उपाय:- the means: दथितस्य अजीवितं दयिताजीवित । तस्य आलम्बनमुपायमर्थयते इति दयिताजीवितालम्बनार्थी | The word तद्वधोपायमिच्छन् , employed in the 10th stanzas supports this interpretation. This word implies that Kamatha was not grateful to Him who had shown compassion Himself though he had been guilty of perpetrating a misdeed, The other interpretation is not preferable to this. The second interpretation implies that Kamatha thought that Vasundhara, alive in her later life, might be yearning for affection for him and so he was in search of an expedient to send her a message with a desire to save her life. नो मनागप्यसूरिः- who was extremely foolish. प्रत्यासन्ने नभसि- at a time when the month of श्रावण was about to set in. नभस् = the month of श्रावण. It is better to constrae the two words as Fiè ala and interpret the construction as ' in the region of the sky which was in the proximity of the sage. मुनिपं अभितः = on all sides of the lord of sages. The word अभितः governs the Accusative case under the rule ' पर्यभिसर्वोभयैस्तस्यैः ।'. साक् = immediately. असाक्षीत् = सृजति स्म = created. Aorist 3rd person singular,
