७. [प्र. ४ ] भगवन् ! वह निर्ग्रन्थ स्थविरों के पास आलोचनादि करने के लिए निकला, किन्तु वहाँ पहुँचा नहीं, उससे पूर्व ही स्वयं काल कर जाए, तो हे भगवन् ! वह निर्ग्रन्थ आराधक है या विराधक? _[उ. ] गौतम ! वह (निर्ग्रन्थ) आराधक है, विराधक नहीं।
7. [Q.] [4] Suppose the aforesaid ascetic after appraisal (etc.) of his fault proceeds to senior ascetics but before he reaches his destination he himself dies. Bhante ! Is such a nirgranth (a male ascetic) steadfast or faltering in conduct ? ___ [Ans.] Gautam ! He (that ascetic) is steadfast and not faltering in conduct.
७. [प्र. ५ ] से य संपट्ठिए संपत्ते, थेरा य अमुहा सिया, से णं भंते ! किं आराहए विराहए ? [उ. ] गोयमा ! आराहए, नो विराहए।
७. [प्र. ५ ] उपर्युक्त अकृत्यसेवी निर्ग्रन्थ ने तत्क्षण आलोचनादि करके स्थविर मुनिवरों के पास आलोचनादि करने हेतु प्रस्थान किया, वह स्थविरों के पास पहुँच गया, तत्पश्चात् वे स्थविर मुनि (वातादि दोषवश) मूक हो जाए, तो हे भगवन् ! वह निर्ग्रन्थ आराधक है या विराधक?
[ उ. ] गौतम ! वह (निर्ग्रन्थ) आराधक है, विराधक नहीं।
7. [Q.5] Suppose the aforesaid ascetic after appraisal (etc.) of his fault proceeds to senior ascetics and he reaches his destination but after that the senior ascetics become mute (due to some ailment). Bhante ! Is such a nirgranth (a male ascetic) steadfast or faltering in conduct ?
(Ans.) Gautam ! He (that ascetic) is steadfast and not faltering in conduct.
७. [६-८ ] से य संपट्ठिए संपत्ते अप्पणा य०। एवं संपत्तेण वि चत्तारि आलावगा भाणियव्वा जहेव असंपत्तेणं।
७. [६-८ ] उपर्युक्त अकृत्यसेवी मुनि स्वयं आलोचनादि करके स्थविरों की सेवा में पहुँचते ही स्वयं मूक हो जाए, (इसी तरह शेष दो विकल्प हैं-स्थविरों के पास पहुँचते ही वे स्थविर काल कर ॥ जाएँ. या स्थविरों के पास पहुँचते ही स्वयं निर्ग्रन्थ काल कर जाए); जिस प्रकार असम्प्राप्त (स्थविरों के : पास न पहुँचे हुए) निर्ग्रन्थ के चार आलापक कहे गये हैं, उसी प्रकार सम्प्राप्त निर्ग्रन्थ के भी चार ।
आलापक कहने चाहिए। यावत् (चारों आलापकों में) वह निर्ग्रन्थ आराधक है, विराधक नहीं। ___7. [Q.] [6-8] Suppose the aforesaid ascetic after appraisal (etc.) of his fault proceeds to senior ascetics and he reaches his destination but after
