उक्त प्रकार से जो साधु सद्गुणों को धारण करने वाला और दुर्गुणों को l छोड़ने वाला है, वह जीवन के अंतिम समय में भी संवर-चारित्र धर्म की सम्यक् आराधना करता है।॥४६॥
46. The shraman who thus accepts virtues and rejects vices pursues the right practice of samvar dharma during the last part of his life.
४७ : आयरिए आराहेइ समणे आवि तारिसो।
गिहत्था वि णं पूयंति जेण जाणंति तारिसं॥ ____चारित्र आदि गुणों से युक्त गुणवान् साधु, आचार्यों की एवं अन्य सामान्य है साधुओं की भी भली प्रकार से आराधना, उपासना करता है। ऐसे गुणी साधु की | गृहस्थ भी भक्तिभाव से सेवा-पूजा करते हैं, क्योंकि गृहस्थ उस शुद्ध संयमधारी को भलीभाँति पहचानते हैं॥४७॥ ____47. Such a virtuous ascetic, established in right conduct, also reveres and worships his acharya and other shramans properly. The householders also worship and serve him with devotion because they are well aware of his discipline and virtues.
४८ : तवतेणे वयतेणे रूवतेणे य जे नरे।
आयारभावतेणे य कुव्वइ देवकिब्बिसं॥ जो साधु तप का चोर, वचन का चोर, रूप का चोर, आचार का चोर तथा । भाव का चोर होता है, वह अगले जन्म में अत्यन्त नीच योनि के किल्विष देवों में उत्पन्न होता है॥४८॥ ___48. The ascetic who has duplicity in all his acts of austerity, AL speech, appearance, conduct and thought begets a rebirth as the lowest of gods, the Kilvish gods.
