ELABORATION:
(1) Aloiyam ingiyam-message of the eyes and gestures; the pupil should be able to understand if the eyes or some gesture or a combination of these two of the guru convey anger or approval or disapproval or some desire etc. २ : आयारमट्ठा विणयं पउंजे सुस्सूसमाणो पडिगिज्झ वक्कं ।
जहोवइट्ठ अभिकंखमाणो गुरुं तु नासाययई स पुज्जो॥ जो आचार-प्राप्ति (ज्ञान आदि पाँचों आचार की प्राप्ति) के लिए विनय का KO प्रयोग करते हैं, जो आदरपूर्वक गुरुवचनों को सुन एवं स्वीकृत कर उनके कार्य ।
की पूर्ति करते हैं और जो गुरु की आशातना नहीं करते हैं, वे ही पूजनीय होते हैं॥२॥
2. He who uses vinaya in order to perfect conduct (the five limbs of conduct including knowledge), who listens to, accepts, and acts according to the word of the guru, and who does not insult the guru is a worthy one. ३ : रायणिएसु विणयं पउंजे डहरा वि अ जे परिआयजेट्ठा।
निअत्तणे वट्टइ सच्चवाई उवावयं वक्ककरे स पुज्जो॥ __ अपने से गुणों में श्रेष्ठ एवं अल्पवयस्क होने पर भी दीक्षा में ज्येष्ठ मुनियों । 0 की विनय-भक्ति करने वाला, सदा नम्र व्यवहार करने वाला, सत्य बोलने वाला, 0
आचार्यों के निकट रहने वाला एवं उनकी आज्ञा का पालन करने वाला ही पूज्य होता है॥३॥
3. He who is polite in his behavior towards the ascetics who although younger in age are higher in knowledge and senior in initiation, who is humble and truthful, who remains near acharyas and obeys them is a worthy one. विशेषार्थ : ___श्लोक ३. परिआय जेट्ठा-पर्याय ज्येष्ठ-दीक्षा काल में बड़ा। ज्येष्ठ अथवा स्थविर तीन प्रकार के होते हैं-(१) जाति-स्थविर-जो जन्म से ज्येष्ठ होते हैं; आयु में बड़े। (२) श्रुतनवम अध्ययन : विनय समाधि (तीसरा उद्देशक) Ninth Chapter : Vinaya Samahi (3rd Sec.) ३२१
