ACHAR SAMADHI
7. There are four categories of Achar samadhi — An ascetic should not follow proper conduct for acquiring (1) pleasures of this world or mundane pleasures, (2) pleasures in the next birth or divine pleasures, (3) fame and glory, and (4) anything else but for attaining the ideal conduct propagated by the Arihant. These are the four categories and there is a verse about this.
विशेषार्थ :
कित्ति-वण्ण-सद्द-सिलोग-कीर्ति, वर्ण, शब्द और श्लोक । कीर्ति - दूसरों के द्वारा किया हुआ यशोगान । वर्ण-लोकव्यापी यश | शब्द- लोक प्रसिद्धि । श्लोक - ख्याति (अगस्त्य सिंह - स्थविर ) हरिभद्रसूरि ने भिन्नार्थ किए हैं - कीर्ति - दिग्व्यापी प्रशंसा, वर्ण-एक दिग्व्यापी प्रशंसा, शब्दअर्द्ध- दिग्व्यापी प्रशंसा तथा श्लोक - स्थानीय प्रशंसा ।
ELABORATION :
(7) Kitti-praise by others. Vanna-glory in this world. Sadda-fame among people. Shlok-fame. According to Haribhadra Suri the meanings of these four synonyms of fame are-all-round fame, fame in one direction, fame in parts of one direction and simple local fame.
५ : जिणवयणरए अतिंतिणे पडिपुन्नायइमाययट्ठिए । आयारसमाहिसंवुडे भवइ अ दंते भावसंधए ॥
जिन प्रवचनों पर अचल श्रद्धा रखने वाला, उत्तेजनापूर्ण भाषण नहीं करने वाला, शास्त्रों के गूढ़ रहस्यों को प्रतिपूर्ण रूप से समझने वाला मोक्ष को चाहने वाला, आचारसमाधि द्वारा आस्रवों के प्रवाह को रोकने वाला तथा चंचल इन्द्रियों एवं मन को वश में करने वाला मुनि अपनी आत्मा को मोक्ष के निकट में ले जाता है ॥ ५ ॥
