He is insulted by the common masses in the same way as a venomous snake with uprooted fangs. विशेषार्थ : ___ श्लोक १२. दुविहियं-दुर्विहित-जिसका आचरण अथवा चारित्र स्खलित होता है वह दुर्विहित कहलाता है। समाचारी का विधिवत् पालन करने वाला साधु सुविहित और अन्यथा दुर्विहित होता है। ELABORATION:
(12) Duvvihiyam-a shraman with lax conduct. One who properly follows the codes of conduct is called suvihit. १३ : इहेवधम्मो अयसो अकित्ती दुन्नामधिज्जं च पिहुज्जणम्मि।
चुयस्स धम्माउ अहम्मसेविणो संभिन्नवित्तस्स य हिट्टओ गई॥ धर्म से च्युत हुआ, अधर्मसेवी एवं चारित्र का खण्डन करने वाला साधु इस लोक में अपयश का भागी होता है, अधार्मिक कहलाता है एवं साधारण मनुष्यों द्वारा निन्दित नामों से पुकारा जाता है। साथ ही परलोक में नरक आदि नीच गतियों में दुःख भोगता है॥१३॥
13. A shraman who has fallen from grace, who follows the wrong path and who has broken the codes of conduct, embraces infamy and is called irreligious and other such bad names by people during this life. Being born as infernal being, he also suffers miseries during the next life. विशेषार्थ :
श्लोक १३. संभिन्नवित्तस्स-संभिन्नवृत्तस्स-संभिन्न का अर्थ है खण्डित और वृत्त का अर्थ है शील या चारित्र। खण्डित चारित्र वाला। -(खण्डित चारित्रस्य-हारिभद्रीय टीका) ELABORATION:
(13) Sambhinnavittassa—sambhinna means shattered and Vritta means conduct; one who has broken the codes of conduct.
