स्वाध्याय और शुभ ध्यान में लीन जगज्जीवों का त्राता एवं पाप की कालिमारहित विशुद्धभाव वाले साधु का पूर्वजन्म-संचित कर्ममल उसी प्रकार दूर हो जाता है, जिस प्रकार अग्नि द्वारा तपाये जाने पर सोने एवं चाँदी का मल दूर SS हो जाता है।६३॥
63. A shraman who is lost into studies and pious meditation, who is the savior of all beings, who is free of the shadow of sin, and who has gained the lofty heights of purity of attitude, gets free of the karmic dirt exactly as the precious metals become free of impurities when heated. ___६४ : से तारिसे दुक्खसहे जिइंदिए सुएण जुत्ते अममे अकिंचणे। विरायई कम्मघणम्मि अवगए कसिणब्भपुडावगमे व चंदिमा॥
त्ति बेमि। ___ पूर्व में बताये हुए सद्गुणों वाला, परीषहों (दुःखों) को समभाव से सहन करने वाला, चंचल इन्द्रियों को जीतने वाला, श्रुतज्ञान को धारण करने वाला, किसी के प्रकार की भी ममता नहीं रखने वाला, परिग्रह के भार से हलका, अकिंचन, पूर्ण संयमी साधु, कर्म रूप बादलों के हट जाने पर उसी तरह सुशोभित होता है, जैसे सम्पूर्ण बादलों के पटल से पृथक् होने पर चन्द्रमा शोभित होता है ॥६४॥
ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ।
64. An ascetic who possesses the virtues mentioned earlier, who tolerates afflictions with equanimity, who is the conqueror of the senses, who has acquired the knowledge of scriptures, who is devoid of any fondness, who is free of the load of possessions, who is absolutely disciplined, gains a radiant glory when the dark shadow of karmas is removed. It is exactly like the moon gaining its radiant glory when the cloud cover drifts. . . . . . So I say.
