Gautam ! In general the minimum life-span of Apkayık (waterbodied) beings is antur-muhurt (less than one muhurt) and the maximum is seven thousand years.
In general the maximum as well as minimum life-span of Sukshma Apkayık (minute water-bodied) beings and specifically of Sukshma Aparyapt and Sukshma Paryapt Apkayık (minute underdeveloped and fully developed water-bodied) beings is antarmuhurt (less than one muhurt).
Gautam ! Like general Apkayık (water-bodied) beings, the minimum life-span of general Badar Apkayık (gross water-bodied) beings is also antar-muhurt (less than one muhurt) and the maximum is seven thousand years.
Gcutam ! The maximum as well as minimum life-span of Aparyapt Badar Apkayık (underdeveloped gross water-bodied) beings is antar-muhurt (less than one muhurt).
Gautam ! The minimum life-span of Paryapt Badar Apkayik (fully developed gross water-bodied) beings is antar-muhurt (less than one muhurt) and the maximum is one antar-muhurt less seven thousand years.
(३) तेउकाइयाणं भंते ! जाव गो. ! जह अंतोमुहत्तं उक्कोसेणं तिण्णि राइंदियाइं।
सुहुमतेउकाइयाणं ओहियाणं अपज्जत्तयाण पज्जत्तयाण य तिण्ह वि जह. अंतो. उक्को . अंतो.।
बादरतेउकाइयाणं भंते ! जाव गो. ! जह. अंतोमुहत्तं उक्कोसेणं तिण्णि राइंदियाई। अपज्जत्तयबायरतेउकाइयाणं जाव गो. ! जह. अंतो. उक्कोसेणं अंतो.। पज्जत्तयबायरतेउकाइयाणं जाव गो. ! जह. अंतो. उक्कोसेणं तिण्णि राइंदियाई अंतोमुत्तूणाई।
(३) (प्र.) भगवन् ! (सामान्य रूप में) तेजस्कायिक जीवों की कितनी स्थिति कही गई है?
(उ.) गौतम ! सामान्य तेजस्कायिक जीवो की जघन्य स्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त की और उत्कृष्ट तीन रात-दिन की बताई है।
