४००. अजीवदव्या णं भंते ! कतिविहा पण्णत्ता ? गो. ! दुविहा पत्नत्ता। तं जहा-अरूविअजीवदव्वा या रूविअजीवदव्वा य। ४००. (प्र.) भगवन् ! अजीवद्रव्य कितने प्रकार के हैं ? (उ.) गौतम ! अजीवद्रव्य दो प्रकार के हैं-अरूपी अजीवद्रव्य और रूपी अजीवद्रव्य।
400. (Q.) Bhante ! How many kinds of ajiva dravya (non-soul entities) are said to be there?
(Ans.) Gautam ! Ajiva dravya (non-soul entities) are said to be of two kinds-arupu ajiva dravya (formless non-soul entities) and rupi ajiva dravya (non-soul entities with form).
४०१. अरूविअजीवदव्या णं भंते ! कतिविहा पण्णत्ता ? ___ गो. ! दसविहा पण्णत्ता। तं जहा-धम्मत्थिकाए, धम्मत्थिकायस्स देसा, धम्मत्थिकायस्स पदेसा, अधम्मत्थिकाए, अधम्मत्थिकायस्स देसा, अधम्मत्थिकायस्स पदेसा, आगासत्थिकाए, आगासत्थिकायस्स देसा, आगासत्थिकायस्स पदेसा, अद्धासमए।
४०१. (प्र.) भगवन् ! अरूपी अजीवद्रव्य के कितने प्रकार हैं ?
(उ.) गौतम ! अरूपी अजीवद्रव्य के दस प्रकार हैं। यथा-(१) धर्मास्तिकाय, ६ (२) धर्मास्तिकाय के देश, (३) धर्मास्तिकाय के प्रदेश, (४) अधर्मास्तिकाय,
(५) अधर्मास्तिकायदेश, (६) अधर्मास्तिकायप्रदेश, (७) आकाशास्तिकाय, (८) आकाशास्तिकायदेश, (९) आकाशास्तिकायप्रदेश, और (१०) अद्धासमय (समय)।
401. (Q.) Bhante ! How many kinds of arupi ajiva dravya (formless non-soul entities) are said to be there?
(Ans.) Gautam ! Arupi ajiva dravya (formless non-soul entities) are said to be of ten kinds-(1) Dharmastikaya (motion entity), (2) Dharmastıkaya-desh (section of motion entity), (3) Dharmastikaya-pradesh. (space-point of motion entity), (4) Adharmastikaya (rest entity), (5) Adharmastikaya-desh (section of rest entity), (6) Adharmastıkaya-pradesh (space-point of rest entity), (7) Akashastıkaya (space entity), (8) Akashastıkayadesh (section of space entity), (9) Akashastıkaya-pradesh (spacepoint of sky entity), and (10) Addhasamaya (time).
