वणस्सइकाइयाणं भंते ! केवइया तेयग-कम्मगसरीरा पण्णत्ता ?
गो. ! जहा ओहिया तेयग- कम्मगसरीरा तहा वणस्सइकाइयाण वि तेयग-कम्मगसरीरा भाणियव्वा ।
( ४ ) वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों के औदारिक, वैक्रिय और आहारकशरीरों को पृथ्वीकायिक जीवों के औदारिकशरीरों के समान समझना चाहिए ।
(प्र.) भगवन् ! वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों के तैजस्- कार्मणशरीर कितने कहे गये हैं ? (उ. ) गौतम ! औधिक तैजस् - कार्मणशरीरों के प्रमाण के बराबर वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों के तैजस् - कार्मणशरीरों का प्रमाण जानना चाहिए।
विवेचन-उक्त वनस्पतिकायिको के बद्ध औदारिकशरीर पृथ्वीकायिक जीवो के समान कहने का कारण यह है कि साधारण वनस्पतिकायिक जीव अनन्त होने पर भी उनका एक शरीर होने के कारण औदारिकशरीर असंख्यात ही हो सकते है। इनके वैक्रियलब्धि और आहारकलब्धि नहीं होने से मुक्त वैक्रिय-आहारकशरीर ही होते है, बद्ध नही । इनके बद्ध और मुक्त तैजस् - कार्मणशरीर अनन्त हैं, क्योंकि वे प्रत्येक जीव के स्वतन्त्र होते हैं और साधारण जीवों के अनन्त होने से इन दोनो को अनन्त जानना चाहिए।

(Q.) Bhante ! How many kinds of taijas-karman sharuras (fiery and karmic bodies) the Vanaspatikayiks (plant-bodied beings) are said to have ?
(Ans.) Gautam ! The details about the taijas-karman shariras (fiery and karmic bodies) of the Vanaspatikayıks (plant-bodied beings) should be read just as the general statement about taijaskarman shariras (fiery and karmic bodies).
Elaboration-Here it is stated that the bound gross physical bodies of plant-bodied beings and earth-bodied beings are same The reason for this is that although, generally speaking plant-bodied beings are infinite in number, a large number of them are clumped in a single body.
