(५) (प्र.) भगवन् ! वनस्पतिकायिक जीवो की स्थिति कितने काल की है ? ___ (उ.) गौतम ! सामान्य रूप से वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों की जघन्य स्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त की
और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति दस हजार वर्ष की है। ___सामान्य सूक्ष्म वनस्पतिकायिक तथा उनके अपर्याप्तक और पर्याप्तक भेदों की जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति अन्तर्मुहर्त की है।
गौतम ! बादर वनस्पतिकायिक जीवो की जघन्य स्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त की और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति दस हजार वर्ष की कही है।
गौतम ! अपर्याप्तकों की जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त की है।
किन्तु गौतम । पर्याप्तक बादर वनस्पतिकायिक जीवों की जघन्य स्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त न्यून दस हजार वर्ष की जानना चाहिए।
