The Jain Image Inscriptions of Ahmadabad

This Pañchatīrthī bronze image of Adinath with parikar is preserved in Shamalā Pārshvanath Temple in Shamala pole. It was installed by Śrīsangha by the counsel of Śrī Jayakesarīsūri of Añchala gaccha in V.S. 1505, Vaiśākha su.di. 5, Ravi. (i.e.Sun., 27 April, 1449 A.D.). This Bimba was made by Srāvak Siddharāja [son of Thosā and Rājī] and his family for the bliss of his father. The donor belonged to Kapardī Sākhā in Shrīmāla Vamsa.
॥ सं. १५०५ वर्षे वैशाख सुदि ५ रवौ श्री श्रीमालवंशे श्री कापर्दि शाखायां प. ठोसा भा. राजीपुत्र ष. सिद्धराज सुश्रावकेण भा. सिंगारदे प्रमुखसमस्त कुटुंबसहितेन श्री अंचलगच्छनायके श्री जयकेसरिसूरीणामुपदेशेन पितृश्रेयोर्थं श्री आदिनाथबिंबं कारितं प्रतिष्टि [ष्ठ ] तं । श्री संघेन चिरं नंदतु ॥

This Panchatirthī bronze image of Vimalanatha with parikar is preserved in Dharmmanath Temple in Devasha's pado, near Calico Dome, Relief Road. It was made by Virasala, son of Man Karma and Kapurde of Śrīmāla caste, also with his wife Rāghū, son Devā, brother Dharmasī, Dhanā, Rāmā etc. family members, for the bliss of their own self. This icon was installed by Śrī Munichandrasūri of Brahmāna gaccha in V. S. 1505, Vaishākha, shudi. 5, (i.e. Sunday, 27 April 1449 A.D.).
