The Jain Image Inscriptions of Ahmadabad

This Pañchatirthi bronze image of Shantinath with parikar is preserved in Shāmalā Pārshvanath Temple in Devasha's Pado, Calico Dome, Relief Road. It was made by Samadhara along with his wife Kabū and sons Lasarāja, Laṭakaṇa, Ṣimarāja. Samadhara was the son of Do. Dharama and Rājū of Srīmāla caste. This icon was made with the precept of Śrī Dharmmasekharasuri [in the Paṭṭāvalī of Śrī Jinabhadrasūri]. It was installed with ceremony in V.S. 1520, Vaisakha, su.di. 9, Soma (i.e. Monday, 30 April, 1464 A.D.). The donors were the inhabitant of Ahmedabad.
॥ सं. १५२० वर्षे वैशाष वदि ९ सोमे अहमदावाद वास्तव्य श्री श्रीमाली. ज्ञा. दी. धरमा भा. राजू सु. समधर भार्या कबू सु. लसराज लटकण षीमराजयुतेन श्री शांतिनाथबिं. कारितं प्र. विधिना श्री पक्षे श्री जिणभद्रसूरिपट्टे श्री धर्म्मशेखरसूरिउपदेशेन ॥

This Pañchatīrthī bronze image of Shītalanatha with parikar is preserved in Simandharaswami Temple in Indrakot of Doshivada's Pole. It was made by Man. Devāka, son of Man. Sangrāmasī and Mākū, along with his wife Demal and son Bhojā etc. Family members of Srimala caste, with the precept of ....suri in V.S. 1520, Jyestha, sudi. 10, Budha (i.e. Wed., 16 May, 1464 A.D.).
