The Jain Image Inscriptions of Ahmadabad

This Pañchatirthi bronze image of Sambhavanatha with parikar is preserved in Adishvara Temple in Kasumbavad of Doshivada's Pole. It was made by Śre. Hänsä, son of Śre. Soma and Sangī, along with his wife Nagiņi, sons Dharanā Kaḍūā and Karaṇā. The donor belonged to Srimāla caste and was the inhabitant of Kanasagara. This Bimba was installed by Sriuri in V.S. 1571, Vaisakha va.di. 5, (i.e. Thurs., 3 May., 1515 A.D.).

॥ संवत् १५७२ वर्षे फागुण श्रुदि अष्टमी सोमे श्री श्रीमाल ज्ञातीय श्रे. देवा भा. देवलदे सुत नरबद भा लीलादे । सुतरंगाभागा श्री वासुपूज्यबिंबं कारितं पीष्पल गच्छे श्री विनयसागरसूरिभि प्रतिष्टि (ष्ठि) तं वीजापुर वास्तव्य ॥

This Panchatīrthī bronze image of Sreyansanatha with parikar is preserved in Sambhavanatha Temple in Kalushah's Pole, Kalupur. It was made by Hīrāka with his wife Hīrade and son for his own bliss. The donor was the son of Man. Simha and phatā. He belonged to Śrīmāla caste and was the resident of Vidyapura [Vijāpur]. This icon was installed by Śrīsūri of Agama gaccha in V.S. 1572, Phalguna, su.di 8, Soma ( i.e. Mon., 11 Feb., 1516 A.D.).
