The Jain Image Inscriptions of Ahmadabad

This Chauvisi bronze image of Sumatinatha with parikar is preserved in Adishvara Temple in Panchbhai's Pole. It was made by Gandhi Mākā and his wife Lasamãi, along with their sons Rapā and Asā. Mākā was the son of Gandhi Narapala and Amakū of Śrīmāla caste. This Bimba was installed by Śri Chandrasuri in the Pallavali of Bha. Sri Vijayacandra of Sadhu Pūrṇima paksa. in V.S. 1553, Pauṣa, va.di. 10, Guru (i.e. Thurs., 29 Dec., 1496 A.D. according to Amanta system of months.)

This Pañchatirthī bronze image of Neminatha with parikar is in Adishvara Temple of Vagheshwar pole. It was installed by Indranandisuri of Tapā gaccha in V.S. 1553 Mägha, va.di. 1 (i.e. Thurs., 19 Jan., 1497 A.D.). This icon was made by Sre[sthi] Javada along with his wife Pūrī and sons as well as family. He was the resident of Ahamadāvāda.
