On the basis of co-existence institution like United Nations have the representation of both socialist and capitalist countries. Even though the idea of accommodating co-existence in politics is something new, in the laws of nature, the idea on co-existence found all the time. Co-existence in Nature and Science :
In our body there are billions of cells. Every second five crore cells are being destroyed and new five crore are being created. When both the activities co-exist, then the body live on. Life and death are contradiction and yet they come together and move on together. Thus the existence of opposing pairs is intrinsic to nature10. Life and universe in nothing but a delicate balance of opposing forces, conflicting particles, contrasting energies and divergent view points. No adjective, no verb exists in this entire which does not have an antonym. Without the pairing opposite the world will lose its meaning. Light will be rendered redundant in the absence of darkness.
We can find the examples of co-existence in the world of sicence too. Scientific investigations of micro world have so far revealed that the basic building blocks of the matter are quarks. Intersitingly, these quarks are found in the pairs of opposite spains. Even before this discovery, the coexistence of electron and proton, positively and charged particles is a well established scientific fact. Properties of magnet are very well known to us. Both north and south poles constitute a magnate. if by some means, we are able to demagnetize a magnet, both poles disappear together. A magnet with single pole is impossibility.11 As opposite objects co-exist, opposite ideas can also co-exist. Conflicts arise when we are not ready to accept those opposite ideas and only try porve own ideas as right or perfect. It is believed, religion has power to create peace in society but if followers of religions are adamant, instead of creating peace, they make a nation more restless and miserable. The holiness of the world of religion has been destroyed by the absolute behaviour. The main strenght of religion is non-violence, friendliness and fraternity 12. The absolutist view changes nonviolence into violence, friendliness into hostility and fraternity into animosity and consequently makes the life of self others problematic and painful.
In current age, we see that religious intolerance is on the rise. In such situation of intolerance, how can we hope to attain peace through the means of religion? The paths may be different. Those who fight in the name of religion have never seriously walked on the spiritual path. All differences and quarreling are on empirical plane. If the goal is spiritual, no religion can cause restlessness even each religion can have a power to build a peaceful society. Anekanta guides to accept all paths to be spiritual. Absolutist behaviour brings the loss at both the levels spirtual as well as practical. In Jain terminology, it causes perversity i.e. mithyatva and hinders right vision i.e. samyaktva.
