Violence generates from the evil mind or taints. Affliction, love, hate delusion and anger are regarded as taints (291) When the mind become free from all taints is tranquil. Taintless is called placidity. The placidity or tranquillity is the primordial source of Ahimsa, So, the tranquillity (Build) is comprehensively is being discussing in this context. शांति (peace) 1. Overview The term "peace' is very attractive, earnest and profound word of Indian intelligentsia and culture both. It is perennial source of all goodness and beatitude. All beings wish mental peace environmental tranquillity, socio-cultural harmony, personal placidity and beautiful life. The glic is the giver of all merits, the abode of benevolence and non-violence, the storehouse of pity. The dwelling of generous and tenderness of feelings and treasure of all sober attributes. It removes all evil and ferocious feelings and illumines the inner-luster. 2. Derivation and Etymology of the word "grifat” It derives from the root “914-34917of divâdigana with suffix fact. THE 4TH : TGT ayri: i.e. tranquillity, placidity and happiness of mind is sânti. 14 htGUST4: :, i.e. pacification of passion, lust, anger etc is sânti. FETI14914: :, i.e. tranquillity of activating mind is called sânti or peace. faqez: ST541424:, i.e. restraining the sense-organs from their objects is called sânti. The total establishment of sense-organs in innerself is recognized as 'शांति।
