[फेबरवरी विलायती भ्रष्टः खांड (शारकर.)
. (लेखक-शोभागमल हरकावट-अजमेर. ) अहो जैन धर्मानुयायों! जरा अपने धर्मकी ओर तो दृष्टीको फैलाओ और उन अभक्ष पदार्थोका स्मर्ण करो कि जिनको जैन सिद्धान्तोमें सर्बथा निषेध की हैं. अब जरा इस बिलायती खांड ( शारकर ) की तरफ ध्यान देवो तो वहभी सर्वथा अभक्ष है. बिलायती खांड जिसको मोरस खांडभी कहते हैं. चुकन्दर, आलूकी मांडी तथा एक तरहसे खिजूरके वृक्षके फलों आदि पदार्थोंसे बनाई जाती है और उसके साफ करनेमें कैंसी २ घृणित, अपवित्र और भ्रष्ट चीजें काममें लाई जाती हैं जैसे,—बैलका खून, हड्डीका कोयला और आंडेकी सफेदी इत्यादिक. क्या ऐसी चीजोंके नाम मात्रहीके सुननेसे आप लोगोंके चित्तमें । उक्त खांडकी तरफ घृणा उत्पन्न न हुई होगी और क्या हृदय कम्पायमान हुए बिना रहे होंगे ? यदि आप लेशमात्रभी जैन धर्ममें रुचि रखते हो अथवा जैनियोंके सतप्तंगी हो तो मैं आशा करता हूं कि इस बिलायती भ्रष्ट खांड ( शारकर ) को और मुख तो दूर रहा बल्कि दृष्टिभी न करोगे और धार्मिक तथा सांसारिक कृत्योंमें कदापि व्यवहार न करोगे.
अब इस विलायती भ्रष्ट खांडके साफ करनेमें जो २ घृणित और अभक्ष पदार्थ काममें लाये जाते हैं उनके सच्चे प्रमाणोंके हेतु निम्न लिखित अंग्रेजी लेखोंकी नकलें लिखी जाती हैं जिनके पढने तथा सुननेसे हृदयका सन्देह तुरन्तही क्षणभरमें दूर होजायगा.
