The nakshtra which stays or comes into touch with moon for a little more than nine muhurtas is called Abhijit Nakshtra. Abhijit and other nine Nakshtras experience their contact with moon from the North. These nine constellations are as follows :-1. Abhijit. 2. Revati. 3. Uttrabhadrapad. 4. Shravan. 5. Dhanishttha. 6. Shatbhisha. 7. Purvabhadrapad. 8. Ashwani. 9. Bharani Nakshtra.
५६-इमीसे णं रयणप्पभाए बहुसमरमणिजाओ भूमिभागाओ नव जोयणसए उद्धं अबाहाए उवरिल्ले तारारूवे चारं चरइ। जम्बुद्दीवे णं दीवे नवजोयणिया मच्छा पविसिंसु वा पविसंति वा पविसिस्संति वा। विजयस्स णं दारस्स एगमेगाए बाहाए नव नव भोमा पण्णत्ता।
रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी में एक बहुसम रमणीय भूमि भाग है। वहाँ से नौ सौ योजन ऊपर उपरितन भाग - है। इस उपरितन भाग में ताराएँ संचरण करती हैं। जम्बूद्वीप में नौ योजन वाले मत्स्य हैं। ये मत्स्य नदी मुखों से प्रवेश करते हैं। इनका नदीमुखों से प्रवेश भूत-वर्तमान और भविष्य तीनों कालों में बताया गया है। जम्बूद्वीप में विजय नामक पूर्व द्वार है। इस द्वार की एक-एक बाहु अर्थात् भुजा पर नौ-नौ भौम (विशिष्ट स्थान या नगर) का उल्लेख है।
There is a (flat beautiful) piece of land in the Ratanprabhahell. From there at the height of nine hundred yojana there is a place called Uparitan. In this Uparitan part the group of stars travel. The fishes of the length of nine yojana are found in the Jambu continent. The movement and entrance of these fishes were into the mouths of the rivers have been said to be in the past, present and future. There is an eastern entrance called Vijaya entrance in the Jambu continent. On each and every arm of this gate it is stated that there are nine Bhaum (special places or cities).
५७-वाणमंतराणं देवाणं सभाओ सुहम्माओ नव जोयणाई उद्धं उच्चत्तेणं पण्णत्ताओ। वाणव्यन्तर देवों की सुधर्म सभाएँ नौ योजन ऊँची कही गई हैं।
The Sudharma Assemblies of Vanvyanter Devas (the gods of forests) are said of the height of nine yojanas.
५८-दसणावरणिज्जस्स णं कम्मस्स नव उत्तरपगडीओ पण्णत्ताओ, तं जहा-निद्दा पयला निद्दानिद्दा पयलापयला थीणद्धी चक्खुदंसणावरणे अचक्खुदसणावरणे ओहिंदसणावरणे केवलदसणावरणे।
दर्शनावरणीय कर्म की उत्तर प्रकृतियों की संख्या नौ बतायी गई है। यथा – १. निद्रा, २. प्रचला, || ३. निद्रानिद्रा, ४. प्रचलाप्रचला, ५. स्त्यानद्धि, ६. चक्षुदर्शनावरण, ७. अचक्षुदर्शनावरण, ८.
अवधिदर्शनावरण, ९. केवल दर्शनावरण।
