कथन करके प्ररूपण किया गया है, उपमाओं द्वारा दर्शित किया गया है, हेतु-दृष्टान्त आदि देकर निर्देशित किया गया है तथा उपनय-निगमन द्वारा उपदर्शित किए गए हैं।
इस अंग का अध्ययन करके अध्येता ज्ञाता और विज्ञाता हो जाता है। इस अंग में चरण-करण (मूलगुण-उत्तर गुण) का कथन किया गया है, प्रज्ञापना-प्ररूपणा की गई है। उनका निदर्शन व उपदर्शन कराया गया है। यह सूत्रकृतांग का परिचय है।
In respect of canons this one is the second canon. It has two divisions, 41 twenty three chapters, the Udeshan and Samudeshan kaals are thirty three each,
with regards the number of couplets it has thirty six couplets, countable alphabets, infinite beginnings and infinite modes are there in it. Limited movable beings and infinite immovable beings and there eternal and impermanent sutras are propounded directly and through Niryukati's by liberated Jinendra Bhagwan. The generic and specific mode of substances has been expounded through making difference of name and symbol etc. It has been depicted by narrating, in the mode of naming, showed through similies, directed through parrables and has been displayed through sub-view points and Nigamam.
Through reading this canon the learner becomes the knower. In this canon tha narration of Charan Karmas, the fundamental virtues and proceedings virtues has been done. Wisdom has been described. Its indication and sub perception have been made. It is the introduction of this canon namely Sutrakritang.
५१९-से किं तं ठाणे? ठाणेणं ससमया ठाविजति. परसमया ठाविज्जति.ससमय-परसमया | ठाविजंति, जीवा ठाविजंति, अजीवा ठाविजंति, जीवाजीवा ठाविजंति, लोगे ठाविजति, ॐ || अलोगे ठाविजति, लोगालोगे ठाविजति। ठाणेणं दव्व-गुण-खेत्त-काल-पज्जव-पयत्थाणं
सेला सलिला य समुद्दा सूर-भवण-विमाण-आगर-णदीओ।
णिहिओ पुरिसजया सरा य गोत्ता य जोइसंचाला।।१।। -एक्कविहवत्तव्वयं दुविहवत्तव्वयं जाव दसविहवत्तव्वयं जीवाण पोग्गलाण य लोगट्ठाई || च णं परुवणया आघविजति।
द्वादशांग का तृतीय अंग स्थानाङ्ग क्या है? उसमें क्या-क्या वर्णन है?
स्थानाङ्ग में जीवादि पदार्थों का प्रतिपादन है। इसके द्वारा स्वसमय स्थापित किए जाते हैं, पर समय स्थापित किए जाते हैं, स्वसमय-परसमय स्थापित किए जाते हैं, जीव स्थापित किए जाते हैं,
