अरिष्टनेमि अर्हन् के संघ में चालीस हजार आर्यिकाएँ थीं।
There were forty thousand nuns (Aryikas) in the religious organization of Arihant Arishtnemi. २४०-मंदरचूलिया णं चत्तालीसं जोयणाइं उ8 उच्चत्तेणं पण्णत्ता।
संती अरहा चत्तालीसं धणूई उड़े उच्चत्तेणं होत्था। मन्दर-चूलिकाएँ कही गई हैं जो चालीस योजन ऊँची हैं। शान्ति अर्हन् चालीस धनुष ऊँचे थे।
The height of the summits of the Mandar Mountain is forty yojanas each. The height of Arihant Shanti Nath wasequal to forty bows. ____२४१-भूयाणंदस्स णं नागकुमारस्स नागरन्नो चत्तालीसं भवणावाससयसहस्सा पण्णत्ता। | खुड्डियाए णं विमाणपविभत्तीए तइए वग्गे चत्तालीसं उद्देसणकाला पण्णत्ता।
| नागकुमार, नागराज भूतानन्द के भवनावासों की संख्या चालीस लाख कही गई है। क्षुद्रिका || विमानप्रविभक्ति के तीसरे वर्ग में चालीस उद्देशन काल कहे गए हैं।

- २४२-फग्गुणपुण्णिमासिणीए णं सूरिए चत्तालीसंगुलियं पोरिसीछायं निव्वट्टइत्ता णं चारं || चरइ। एवं कत्तियाए वि पुण्णिमाए।
