(2) In the method of installing (abhiseka vidhi) the purified water mixed with all kinds of herbs is sprinkled on the head of a person with chanting mantras. In this the herb-mixed pure water is filled from seas, rivers etc. in 108 pitchers of gold, 108 pitchers of silver and 108 pitchers of clay.

तए णं से गयसुकुमाले अणगारे जं चेव दिवसं पव्वइए तस्सेव दिवसस्स पुव्वावरण्ह-कालसमयंसि जेणेव अरहा अरिट्ठणेमी तेणेव उवागच्छइ, उवागच्छित्ता अरहं अरिट्ठणेमिं तिक्खुत्तो आयाहिणं पयाहिणं करेइ, करित्ता बंदइ जाव एवं वयासीइच्छामि णं भंते ! तुब्भेहिं अब्भणुण्णाए समाणे महाकालंसि सुसाणंसि एगराइयं महापडिमं उवसंपज्जित्ता णं विहरित्तए । अहासुहं देवाणुप्पिया ! मा पडिबंधं करेह ! तए णं से गयसुकुमाले अणगारे अरहया अरिदुनेमिणा अब्भणुण्णाए समाणे अरहं अरिटुनेमिं बंदइ णमंसइ । वंदित्ता णमंसित्ता अरहओ अरिट्ठनेमिस्स अंतियाओ सहस्संबवणाओ उज्जाणाओ पडिणिक्खमइ । पडिणिक्खमित्ता जेणेव महाकाले सुसाणे तेणेव उवागए ।
