चित्रक्रम २३ : पद्मावती रानी का वैराग्य __भगवान अरिष्टनेमि की वाणी से प्रवुद्ध होकर श्रीकृष्ण की पटरानी पद्मावती ने संयम लेने का निश्चय किया। आभग्ण अलंकार त्याग कर स्वयं मस्तक का लोच करके श्रमणी वेश धारण किया और प्रभु चरणों में उपस्थित हो वोली-भन्ते ! जैसे कोई गृहस्थ अग्नि-ज्वाला में जलते हुए घर के में से अपना बहुमूल्य रत्नकरण्ड सुक्षित निकालना चाहता है। उसी प्रकार मैं भी इस जन्म-मरण की ज्वाला से जलने संसार से अपनी आत्मा को निकालना चाहती हूँ। आप मुझे दीक्षा प्रदान करें। श्रीकृष्ण वासुदेव दीक्षा की आज्ञा प्रदान कर रहे हैं।

Enlightened, hearing the sermon of Bhaganāna Aristanemi, Padmăruti, queen of Sri Krsna, decided to uccept consecration. Putting off ornaments etc., she tonsured her head by her own hands, dressed in the nun-cloth and coming to the lotus feet of Prabhu (The Lord) she spoke thus unto him-Bhagawāna ! As any householder desires to take out his gem-box safely from the burning house, so I wish to take out my own soul safely from the world which is burning in flames of birth and death. Please consecrate me. Sri Krsna is consenting for consecration.
