They then with water and earth of these spots (of mundane per pilgrimage), came to rivers Ganges, Indus, Rakta, Raktawati. They took the water of those river and also earth from both the banks.
They then came to Chulla-Hemvant mountain and Shikhari mountain. They took the water of these places in their pots. They also took best flowers of all seasons, the fragrant substances the flower collections and various types of corn and mustard seeds. They then came to Padma lake and Pundreek lake. They took the water of those lakes in their pots and also took beautiful, best utpal, hundred-leaved and thousand-leaved lotuses.
विवेचन-मागध, वरदाम और प्रभास ये तीन शाश्वत तीर्थ हैं। चक्रवर्ती जब अपनी विजय-यात्रा प्रारम्भ करते है तो इन तीर्थो पर आकर वहाँ के अधिष्ठायक देव की सहायता हेतु अष्टम तप करके देवता का आह्वान करते है। भरत क्षेत्र में तीन, ऐरवत क्षेत्र मे तीन तथा महाविदेह की प्रत्येक विजय मे तीन-तीन तीर्थ होते है। (देखे जम्बूद्वीप प्रज्ञप्ति, वक्षस्कार ३, सूत्र ४४-४९)

(४) गेण्हित्ता जेणेव हेमवए एरवयाइं वासाई जेणेइ रोहिय-रोहियंसासुवण्णकूल-रुप्पकूलाओ महाणईओ तेणेव उवागच्छंति, सलिलोदगं गेण्हंति, गेण्हित्ता उभओकूलमट्टियं गिण्हंति, गिण्हित्ता जेणेव सद्दावाति-वियडावाति परियागा वट्टवेयड्डपव्वया तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता सव्वतूयरे तहेव।
जेणेव महाहिमवंत-रुप्पिवासहरपब्वया तेणेव उवागच्छन्ति तहेव, जेणेव महापउममहापुंडरीयद्दहा तेणेव उवागच्छंति, उवागच्छित्ता दहोदगं गिण्हन्ति तहेव।।
