णो खलु देवाणुप्पिया ! अज्ज सावत्थीए णयरीए इंदमहे इ वा जाव सागरमहे इ वा जे णं इमे बहवे जाव विंदाविंदएहिं निग्गच्छंति, एवं खलु भो देवाणुप्पिया ! पासावच्चिज्जे केसी नामं कुमारसमणे जाइसंपन्ने जाव दूइज्जमाणे इहमागए जाव विहरइ।
तेणं अज्ज सावत्थीए नयरीए बहवे उग्गा जाव इन्भा इन्भपुत्ता अप्पेगतिया वंदणवत्तियाए जाव महया वंदावंदएहि णिग्गच्छंति।
२१६. तब उस कचुकी पुरुष ने, जिसे केशीकुमार श्रमण के पदार्पण होने के निश्चित समाचार ज्ञात थे, दोनों हाथ जोड जय-विजय शब्दों से वधाकर चित्त सारथी से निवेदन किया
“देवानुप्रिय ! आज श्रावस्ती नगरी मे इन्द्र-महोत्सव यावत् समुद्र-यात्रा आदि कुछ नही है कि जिससे ये बहुत से उग्रवंशीय आदि लोग अपने-अपने समुदाय बनाकर निकल रहे है। परन्तु हे देवानुप्रिय ! बात यह है कि आज ज्ञान आदि से सम्पन्न भगवान पार्श्वनाथ के शिष्य केशीकुमार
श्रमण एक ग्राम से दूसरे ग्राम विहार करते हुए यहाँ पधारे हैं। वे कोष्ठक चैत्य में विराजमान हैं। ___ इसी कारण आज श्रावस्ती नगरी के ये अनेक उग्रवंशीय यावत् इब्भ, इब्भपुत्र आदि उनकी वदना करने के विचार से बडे-बडे समुदायों में अपने घरों से निकल रहे हैं।"
216. Then that attendant who had definite information about the no arrival of Keshi Kumar Shraman, folded his hands and honouring him told Chitta Saarthi
"O the loveable of gods ! There is no such festivity as the one in honour of Indra or upto Sea-voyage in celebration whereof many people of Ugra clan and others are coming out collectively. But respected Sir ! The fact is that Keshi Kumar Shramanma disciple
of Bhagavan Parshvanath, who possesses transmigratory * knowledge has arrived here after wandering from one village to a another. He is staying in Koshthak garden.
So the people in large groups are coming out of their houses. They are belonging to many clans namely Vjra upto Ibh, Ibhputra in Shravasti. They are coming out in order to bow to him." चित्त सारथी का दर्शनार्थ गमन
२१७. तए णं से चित्ते सारही कंचुइपुरिसस्स अंतिए एयम सोचा निसम्म हट्टतुट्ठ जाव हियए कोडुबियपुरिसे सद्दावेइ, सद्दावित्ता एवं वयासी-खिप्पामेव भो देवाणुप्पिया ! चाउग्घंटे आसरहं जुत्तामेव उवट्ठवेह जाव सच्छत्तं उवट्टवेति।
