242. (After listening the above description about five types of knowledge while standing) King Pradeshi requested-“Reverends Sir ! Can I sit here ?” ____Keshi replied-"O Pradeshi ! This garden-land is your own land, so you can yourself decide whether you want to sit or not."
King Pradeshi then sat near Keshi Kumar Shraman along with Chitta Saarthi and said to Keshi Kumar Shraman—“Reverend Sir! Is it the knowledge (Jnan) of Shraman Nirgranth, their faith, their view-point, their decision, their reasoning, their talk, their definite thought, their belief, their retention, a belief based on direct proof and Samavasaran that Jiva (soul) and Shareer (body) are different and that both are not one."
विवेचन-प्रदेशी राजा केशीकुमार श्रमण से पहले प्रश्न मे सज्ञा आदि ग्यारह शब्दो के द्वारा विविध दृष्टियो से उनकी मान्यता का स्पष्टीकरण पूछता है। इससे प्रतीत होता है, प्रदेशी राजा जिस विचार व दर्शन को मानता था उस विषय का विद्वान् भी था। राजनीति, अर्थशास्त्र के साथ वह दर्शन व न्याय-विषय का भी ज्ञाता था। सक्षेप मे सज्ञा आदि शब्दो का अर्थ इस प्रकार है
(१) संज्ञा-ज्ञान। (२) प्रतिज्ञा-तत्त्व के आधार पर स्थिर पक्ष। (३) दृष्टि-चिन्तन की दिशा। (४) रुचि-श्रद्धायुक्त विचार। (५) हेतु-तत्त्व प्रतिपादन करने की तर्कपूर्ण शैली। (६) उपदेश-लोगो को शिक्षा देने वाले शिक्षात्मक वचन। (७) संकल्प-दृढ धारणा, मान्यता। (८) तुला-निश्चय की कसौटी। (९-१०) मान-प्रमाण-प्रत्यक्ष आदि प्रमाणो से सिद्ध मन्तव्य। (११) समवसरण-स्वीकृत सिद्धान्त।
Elaboration-King Pradeshi in his question by eleven words namely Sanjna and others desires to know the clarification of his belief from different view points This fact indicates that king Pradeshi was a scholar of the thought and philosophy in which he had faith. In addition to be
