Many people even collectively are not in a position to ignore them. In one of such famous and prosperous families, the soul of Suryabh Dev shall be re-born as a son.”

२८०. (क) तए णं तंसि दारगंसि गब्भगयंसि चेव समाणंसि अम्मापिऊणं धम्मे ढा पइण्णा भविस्सइ ।
तए णं तस्स दारयस्स नवहं मासाणं बहुपडिपुन्नाणं अद्धट्टमाणं इंदियाणं वितिक्कंताणं सुकुमालपाणिपायं सुकुमालपाणिपायं अहीण - पडिपुण्ण - पंचिंदियसरीरं लक्खणवंजणगुणोववेयं माणुम्माण - पमाणपडिपुन्नसुजायसव्वंगसुदरंगं ससिसोमाकारं कंतं पियदंसणं सुरूवं दारयं पयाहिसि ।
२८०. (क) वहाँ पर उस दारक (बालक) के गर्भ मे आने पर माता-पिता की धर्म में दृढ प्रतिज्ञा - (श्रद्धा) होगी।
गर्भ के नौ मास और साढे सात रात-दिन पूर्ण होने पर दारक की माता सुकुमार हाथ-पैर वाले, शुभ लक्षणो एव परिपूर्ण पाँच इन्द्रियो और शरीर वाले, सामुद्रिक शास्त्र में बताये गये शारीरिक शुभ लक्षणों (कमल, मत्स्य, स्वस्तिक आदि के चिन्ह) तिल, मेष आदि व्यंजनों; उदारता, धीरता आदि गुणों से युक्त, माप, तोल (वजन) और नाप (ऊँचाई) में बराबर, सुजात, सर्वांग सुन्दर, चन्द्रमा के समान सौम्य आकार वाले, कमनीय, प्रियदर्शन एव सुरूपवान् पुत्र को जन्म देगी ।
CEREMONY AT THE BIRTH BY PARENTS
280. (a) When that child shall enter the womb of his mother, the parents will develop strong faith in the religion.
After completion of nine months seven and a half days, the mother shall give birth to a son. He shall be having soft hand and feet, auspicious signs, complete five sense-organs, proper structure, good signs as mentioned in astrology, auspicious marks on his body like those of til, lotus, fish, swastik and others.
