से वर्जित हूँ। हीनपुण्य चातुर्दशिक (कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्दशी को जन्मा हुआ), दुरंत-प्रान्त (अशुभ) लक्षण वाला कुलक्षणी हूँ। यदि उन मित्रों, ज्ञातिजनों और अपने हितैषियों की बात मान लेता तो आज मैं भी इसी तरह श्रेष्ठ प्रासादों में रहता हुआ सुखपूवर्क अपना समय व्यतीत करता।'
हे प्रदेशी । इसी कारण मैंने यह कहा है कि यदि तुम अपना दुराग्रह नही छोडोगे तो उस लोहभार को ढोने वाले दुराग्रही की तरह तुम्हें भी अन्त में पछताना पडेगा।"

O Pradeshi ! In their context I had mentioned that if you do not discard you such born attitude, you shall also have to repent in the end like that person who carried iron-load.” प्रदेशी द्वारा श्रावकधर्म-ग्रहण ___२६८. एत्थ णं से पएसी राया संबुद्धे केसिकुमारसमणं बंदइ जाव एवं वयासी
णो खुल भंते ! अहं पच्छाणुताविए भविस्सामि जहा व से पुरिसे अयभारिए, तं इच्छामि णं देवाणुप्पियाणं अंतिए केवलिपन्नत्तं धम्मं निसामित्तए। __ अहासुहं देवाणुप्पिया ! मा पडिबंधं करेह।
धम्मकहा जहा चित्तस्स। तहेव गिहिधम्म पडिवज्जइ जेणेव सेयविया नगरी तेणेव पहारेत्थ गमणाए।
२६८. इस प्रकार केशीकुमार श्रमण द्वारा समझाये जाने पर सम्यक् तत्त्व का बोध प्राप्त 0 करके प्रदेशी राजा ने केशीकुमार श्रमण को वंदना की एव निवेदन किया
