१. सुबुद्धि मंत्री ने अपने सेवकों से गंदे नाले (खाई) का पानी मँगाया। उसे कपड़ों से छान-छानकर घड़ों में भरवाया।
२. फिर क्षार (राख) आदि शोधक तत्त्वों से पानी साफ कराया। पुनः घड़ों में छनवाया। इस प्रकार बार-बार जलशोधन की लम्बी प्रक्रिया द्वारा उस पानी को स्वच्छ कर सुगन्धित पदार्थों से एकदम स्वादिष्ट व मनोज्ञ बना दिया।

1. Subuddhi sent his servants to the ditch and got some dirty water collected and filtered it into pitchers.
2. After a week he got the water filtered once again and purifiers like ash were mixed in it. This long process of purification was repeated and the foul water turned pure. He than added some perfumes and made the water tasty and pleasant.
