( २९३ ) 5 But this compelling attraction of the sense of hearing is harmful in the
same way that the call of a caged partridge, belonging to a fowler, lures a S > wild partridge into the snare and becomes the cause of its bondage and S death. (2)
थण-जहण-वयण-कर-चरण-णयण-गव्विय-विलासियगइसु।
रूवेसु रज्जमाणा, रमंति चक्खिंदियवसट्टा ॥३॥ 15 चक्षु इन्द्रिय के वशीभूत और रूप में अनुरक्त रहने वाले पुरुष स्त्री के स्तन, जंघा, वदन, हाथ, डा
२ पैर, नेत्र तथा गर्वीली चेष्टाओं की विलासमय गति में रमण करने को आनन्द मानते हैं ॥३॥ 5 The beings who are slaves of the sense of seeing consider feasting upon 5
the lascivious movements of the breasts and thighs, limbs and torso, and eyes and face of a woman to be the source of bliss. (3)
चक्विंदियदुद्दन्त-त्तणस्स अह एत्तिओ भवइ दोसो।
जं जलणम्मि जलंते, पडइ पयंगो अबुद्धीओ॥४॥ २ किन्तु चक्षु इन्द्रिय का यह दुर्दान्त आकर्षण वैसा ही दोषपूर्ण होता है जैसे बुद्धिहीन पतंगा र जलती आग की लपट के रूप से आकर्षित हो उसका आलिंगन करता है और जल मरता है।।४॥ द

अगुरु-वरपवरधूवण, उउय-मल्लाणुलेवणविहीसु।
गंधेसु रज्जमाणा, रमंति घाणिंदियवसट्टा ॥५॥ र घ्राणेन्द्रिय के वशीभूत हुए प्राणी कृष्णागुरु, प्रवर धूप, ऋतु के अनुकूल मालाएँ और फूल, टे 15 चन्दनादि के लेप आदि सुगंधित पदार्थों के सेवन में आनन्द का अनुभव करते हैं॥५॥
The beings who are slaves of the sense of smell consider enjoying the smell B of fragrant things like Krishnaguru, Pravar-dhoop, seasonal flowers and a 5 garlands made of these, and sandal-wood paste to be the source of bliss. (5)
घाणिंदियदुद्दन्त-तणस्स अह एत्तिओ हवइ दोसो।
जं ओसहिगंधेणं, विलाओ निद्धावई उरगो॥६॥ किन्तु यह घ्राणेन्द्रिय का दुर्दान्त आकर्षण वैसा ही दोष पूर्ण होता है जैसे केतकी आदि वनस्पति ट 15 की गंध से आकर्षित होकर सांप अपने बिल से बाहर निकल आता है और बंधन, वध आदि के 5 र कष्ट झेलता है॥६॥
