But this compelling attraction of the sense of touch is harmful in the same way that by the craving to brush a she-elephant traps the elephant in season
and causes it to suffer the piercing pain of lancet blows on its head. (10) 15 इन्द्रियसंवर का सुफल
कलरिभिय-महुरतंती-तल-ताल-वंस-ककुहाभिरामेसु।
सद्देसु जे न गिद्धा, वसट्टमरणं न ते मरए॥११॥ 5 जो प्राणी कल, रिभित आदि वाद्यों के मधुर शब्दों में आसक्त नहीं होते वे वशार्तमरण को ड र प्राप्त नहीं होते। (वशार्तमरण-इन्द्रियों के विषय, कषाय, नौकषाय आदि के वशीभूत हुआ परवशते B पीड़ादायक मृत्यु)॥११॥ 5 BENEFIT OF CONTAINMENT
The beings who are not allured by the melodious sounds of musical instruments like Kal, Ribhit, etc. do not embrace Vashartmaran (forced and 5 painful death caused by indulgence in sensual pleasures, intense passions, and light passions). (11)
थण-जहण-वयण-कर-चरण-नयण-गव्वियविलासियगईसु।
रूवेसु जे न सत्ता, वसट्टमरणं न ते मरए॥१२॥ र स्त्रियों के स्तन जघन-नयन आदि रूपों में जो प्राणी आसक्त नहीं होते वे वशार्तमरण को प्राप्त 15 नहीं होते॥१२॥
The beings who are not allured by the visual beauty of female breasts, 5 thighs etc. do not embrace Vashartmaran. (12)
अगरु-वरपवरधूवण-उउयमल्लाणुलेवण-विहीसु।
गंधेसु जे न गिद्धा, वसट्टमरणं न ते मरए॥१३॥ अगर, धूप, फूल माला, चन्दन लेप आदि सुगंधों में जो प्राणी आसक्त नहीं होते वे वशार्तमरण टा 15 को प्राप्त नहीं होते॥१३॥ K The beings who are not allured by the aroma of fragrant things like a 15 Krishnaguru, Dhoop, seasonal flowers, garlands, and sandal-wood paste etc. 15 do not embrace Vashartmaran. (13)
तित्त-कडुयं कसायंब-महुरं बहुखज्ज-पेज्ज-लेज्झेसु। आसायंमि न गिद्धा, वसट्टमरणं न ते मरए॥१४॥
