5 बारहवाँ अध्ययन : उदक ज्ञात 3 DEMONSTRATION OF THE PROCESS 15 20. King Jitshatru did not believe a word of what Subuddhi said. Because S
of this lack of faith and belief he called his personal servants and instructed, S “Beloved of gods! Go and buy pitchers and cloth from the shop on the road to the ditch and purify the water of that ditch by the process detailed by Subuddhi and make it potable.” The servants did as told and when the water became pure and potable they brought it to the king.
The king took that water in his cupped palms and tasted. When he found the water tasty and pleasant he called minister Subuddhi and said, "Subuddhi! From where did you acquire this knowledge of existent fundamental reality, truth, and other such concepts?" .
Subuddhi replied, “Sire! I have acquired this knowledge due to my faith in the words of the Jina." __सूत्र २१ : तए णं जियसत्तू सुबुद्धिं एवं वयासी 'इच्छामि णं देवाणुप्पिया ! तव अंतिए डा र जिणवयणं निसामेत्तए।' 15 तए णं सुबुद्धी जियसत्तुस्स विचित्तं केवलिपन्नत्तं चाउज्जामं धम्म परिकहेइ, तमाइक्खइ, ड
जहा जीवा बज्झंति जाव पंच अणुव्वयाई। 5 सूत्र २१ : जितशत्रु ने सुबुद्धि से कहा-“देवानुप्रिय ! मैं तुमसे जिनवचन (जिनभाषित ई र तत्त्वज्ञान) सुनना चाहता हूँ।"
तब सुबुद्धि ने राजा जितशत्रु के सामने केवलज्ञानी द्वारा प्ररूपित चतुर्याम रूपी अद्भुत डा र (अनूठे) धर्म का प्रवचन (विवेचन) दिया और बताया कि जीव कर्म-बन्धन कैसे करता है, पाँच । 5 अणुव्रत क्या हैं, आदि।
21. King Jitshatru said, “Beloved of gods! I want to hear from you about SI 2 the words of the Jina."

सूत्र २२ : तए णं जियसत्तू सुबुद्धिस्स अंतिए धम्मं सोच्चा णिसम्म हट्टतुट्ठ सुबुद्धिं अमच्चड र एवं वयासी- सद्दहामि णं देवाणुप्पिया ! निग्गंथं पावयणं जाव से जहेयं तुब्भे वयह, तं इच्छामि द रणं तव अंतिए पंचाणुव्वइयं सत्त सिक्खावइयं जाव उवसंपज्जित्ता णं विहरित्तए।' 5 'अहासुहं देवाणुप्पिया ! मा पडिबंधं करेह।' 15 CHAPTER-12 : THE WATER
