VIVEKACHUDAMANI
तदात्मना योऽत्र वसेद्गुहायां पुनर्न तस्याङ्ग गुहाप्रवेशः ॥ २६६ ॥
266. In the cave1 of the Buddhi there is the Brahman, distinct from the gross and subtle the Existence Absolute, Supreme, the One without a second. For one who lives in this cave as Brahman, O beloved, there is no more entrance into the mother's womb.
['Cave The Buddhi is often spoken of thus.
2For one &c.-He who always thinks of himself as Brahman has no more rebirth. ]

न्मुक्ति प्राहुस्तदिह मुनयो वासनातानवं यत् ॥ २६७ ॥
267. Even after the Truth has been realised, there remains that strong, beginningless, obstinate impression that one is the agent and experiencer, which is the cause of one's transmigration. It has to be carefully removed by living in a state of constant identification with the Supreme Self. The sages call that Liberation which is the attenuation' of Vâsanâs or impressions here and now.
[1Attenuation &c.-Because the man who has no selfish desires easily attains Mukti. ]
