आचारांग सूत्र के श्रुतस्कंध 2 के अध्ययन 7 में कहा है-अपने साथ रहने वाले साधु के उपकरण भी आज्ञा प्राप्त करके ही ग्रहण करना चाहिए।
__सूत्रकृतांग, प्रश्नव्याकरण, उत्तराध्ययन आदि अनेक आगम पाठों में अदत्त ग्रहण करने का निषेध दिया गया है।
Comments—The ascetic should take every thing by asking.
In the chapter sixth of Dasvaikalik Sutra it has been said that "Even the tooth pick should not be taken without permission” In the seventh chapter of "Vyavahar" sutra it has been said "Even the implements of the ascetic of same group should be taken after due permission".
In the chapter 15 of second Shrutskanda of Acharanga Sutra it has been stated that "the ascetic must have the tendency of asking for permission repeatedly otherwise he may accept even the unacceptable articles."
It has been narrated in chapter second of sixteenth "Shataka" of Bhagwati Sutra that knowing the types of Avagrah accepting the Shakrendra grants the permission to accept the articles which has no owner and the places, to all the ascetic travelling all over the Bharat region of Ford-makers domination.
Therefore, there is a code of conduct for accepting such types of articles and places. Thereby the "Permission of Shakrendra" or "Anujanaha Jassuggaho" are pronounced.
In the chapter seven of second shrut skanda of Acharanga Sutra, it has been stated that even the instrument of his own companion ascetic should be accepted after due permission.
The prohibition acception the non-acceptatble articles has been narrated in many a text of Agamas i.e. in Sutrakritanga, Prashan-Vyakarna, Uttradhyana etc. चतुर्थ महाव्रत के अतिक्रमण का प्रायश्चित्त THE EXPIATION OF THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE FOURTH FULL VOW 21. जे भिक्ख लहुसएण सीओदगवियडेण वा, उसिणोदगवियडेण वा हत्थाणि वा, पायाणि वा,
कण्णाणि वा, अच्छीणि वा, दंताणि वा, णहाणि वा, मुहं वा, उच्छोलेज्ज वा, पधोवेज्ज वा,
उच्छोलेंतं वा पधोवेंत वा साइज्जइ। परे 21. जो भिक्षु अल्प अचित्त शीत अथवा उष्ण जल से हाथ, पैर, कान, आँख, दाँत, नख या मुँह आदि
को प्रक्षालित करता है, धोता है अथवा प्रक्षालन करने वाले का या धोने वाले का समर्थन करता
है, (उसे लघुमासिक प्रायश्चित्त करना होता है।) 48 21. The ascetic who washes his hands, legs, ears, eye, teeth, nails and face with a
slightly orgaismless cold or hot water or supports the ones who washes so, a laghumasik expiation costs him.
विवेचन-सूत्र 18-19-20 में क्रमशः प्रथम, द्वितीय व तृतीय महाव्रत सम्बन्धी दोषों का प्रायश्चित्त कहा है। आगे के सूत्र 22-23-24 में पाँचवें महाव्रत सम्बन्धी दोषों का प्रायश्चित्त समझना चाहिए। उपरोक्त सूत्र में सर स्नान को 'कामांग' और ब्रह्मचर्य का दूषण कहा गया है। अतः यहाँ देश-स्नान रूप प्रवृत्ति का प्रायश्चित्त है।
