[ February First make yourself worthy and then expect reward is a teaching full of truth and common sense. Let us start with this axio our mother-land problem by means of its analysis. 'Politics, political status, discussion and speechifying on matters • political and beggary for political gifts will never furnish you with those entities which make life wort a living, embellish your career and secure'you a wished-for reward They are attempts of a child yet not strong enough to stand on its legs to cross the bridge and you know the result. Pity that our intelligent and shrewd brethren have so misdirected their energies and waste their brain in controversies not in the least beneficial to themselves or their country. They are mistaking cause, for effect. It is our social side that, when properly watched and improved will make us worthy to expect those political rewards which our leaders are trying to obtain. Similarly, if our boys and girls are not in a fit condition to receive that high training and reap its advantages it is as good as worthless. For this purpose stoppage of infant marriages and boy marriages is a salutary and much needed reform. This gained moves us a mile 'farther. We thus see that eliminating male education which, however, requires no preaching, female educațien, freedom for travels and stopping of intant inarriages are the only reforms which stare us in the face and call for immediate introduction. No other reforms are necessary. Others will care for them. selves. If you will consider well, you will, I trust, agree in my views. I know there are many religions scruples and superstitions of tremendous force besetting our path but against a resolute will and determinate attack they.must vapisi as an apparition. Logically then our analysis of "make
