R448. ] Nyāya-Kusumānjali views, do not know thee. O Lord, these dull-witted persons who are led astray, by their individual caprices based upon their own dogmas live self-satisfied in their fool's paradise. ( 40 )
જેમ કુવામાં રમતે દેડકે કુવા સિવાય બીજું કંઈ જાણતો નથી અથવા કુવાથી મોટું બીજું કંઈ માનતા નથી, તેમ પિતાના મતમાં આસકત એવા એકાન્તવાદીઓ તને જાણતા નથી. હે નાથ, સ્વપ્રજ્ઞાથી ઉદ્ભવેલી કલ્પનાને વિસ્તારીને ભ્રાત થયેલા તે અલ્પો ઘરમાં કે શરીરમાં માતા નથી. ”---૦૦
हिंसादेरुपदेशतः कलुपितं पूर्वापरार्थेषु च
व्याघातैर्मलिनं प्रमाणरहितादेकान्ततो दूषितम् । प्रामाण्यं नहि सालही रकृतं शास्त्रं भवन्मुखं
साध्वेकं तु विपर्य मात् कृतधियोऽभ्यर्चन्ति ते शासनम् ॥४१॥
The scriptures composed by others, which are viciated by the preachings of Himsa and the like and by contradictions existing in their statements; which are faulty as they teach monism opposed to valid knowledge; and which lead to the tree of the worldly existence, do not stand the test of proof. But, as thy doctrine ( S'asana ) alone is pure on account of its being free from the above-mentioned defects, the learned honour it. ( 41 )
હિંસાદિકના ઉપદેશથી કલુષિત, પૂર્વાપર અર્થના વિરોધને લીધે મલિન, પ્રમાણુવિરૂદ્ધ એવા એકાવાદથી દૂષિત અને ભવરૂપ વૃક્ષની સન્મુખ રહેલું એવું ઈનરકૃત શાસ્ત્ર પ્રામાયને સહન કરી શકતું નથી; કિન્તુ ઉપર દર્શાવેલ દોષથી મુક્ત હોવાને લીધે તારા એક પવિત્ર શાસનને જ સુવિચક્ષણ મહાત્માઓ પૂજે છે. એ-૪૧
