( 41 ) 46 તમે પ્રતિમા જે પૂજતા નથી, તે શું પાપના ભયથી, ફળની પ્રાપ્તિ નહિ થવાથી, પુણ્યપ્રસગના ડર હેાવાથી, દ્રવ્યના વ્યય કરવા પડતા હેાવાથી, પ્રાણિઓની હિ'સા થતી હેાવાથી, દેવની આકૃતિ હિ મનતી હેાવાથી, અન્ય સત્કાÖમાં ક્ષતિ આવતી હોવાથી અથવા મૂર્ત્તિ જડ છે એવી સમજ હેાવાથી; એમ આઠ વિકલ્પો ઉભા થાય છે, ”–૪૧ aiae fameura yatafa— नो पापं गुरुपादमूर्त्तिनतिवद्, बोध्याद्यतुच्छं फलं yourzàìaqungmafê 44, 3046qy: aria: 1 9195a9sfq #8148 YEq¶1r7474, ai-aigfa: zi çà, yazıûîaqfq, få fazaıqdì aıęt: ? 11 82 || (The corresponding answers to the above-mentioned Vikalpas are:) (i) There is no sin in worshipping an image of God as in the case of that of a preceptor. (ii) One gets no small fruit in the form of Bodhi. (iii) There is no fear if merit is acquired; for, it in its turn leads to salvation. (iv) The spending of money is fruitful. (v) A little bit of sin that is committed while performing an action with a good motive is nothing as compared to the great * Bodhi means perfect faith in the tenets of Jainism. To believe in objects as they actually are is the right belief.
